Meet Leda Christopher. She is a class of 2023 CMAA SoCal Summer Intern and is leading the Foundation’s Social Media Sub Committee. She worked as a consultant for the Lebanese Ministry of Culture and authored several books on art and architecture including four (4) UNESCO historic and scientific books on Islamic and Mediterranean Architecture. After completing her master’s degree in interior architecture, Leda designed several residential and commercial architectural and interior projects in Lebanon, France, Qatar, Dubai, Italy, and Beverly Hills. Because Leda believes so strongly in giving a hand to youth and opening doors for the next generation, she co-founded the association of “Arte Italia Cultura,” a program of exchanging art between students from Italy and the United States. She was introduced to the field of construction management during the pandemic when design opportunities slowed down and decided to pursue a degree in construction management at Cal State Northridge and obtain her CMIT certification. During a class visit by visiting professionals from the Foundation Board, she was introduced to CMAA and was pleased to have the opportunity to pursue her dream to serve and now give a hand to the next generation of AEC leaders
